Privacy Policy

• Account data: name, email, mobile number (also used for WhatsApp), password (stored only as a secure hash), language.
• Academic data: university, faculty and major, used to show relevant courses.
• Purchase data: orders, prices, vouchers, points and payment status. Card and wallet payments are processed by Paymob; your card number never reaches our servers.
• Learning data: enrolments, lesson progress, quiz attempts, reviews and questions you post.
• Security data: devices and sessions (device name, IP address, browser, sign-in times), playback sessions, the forensic watermark tied to your account, and screen-capture or tampering events detected by the player.

• to create and secure your account, verify your phone number and send sign-in codes;
• to sell and deliver courses, process payments and refunds, and keep accounting records;
• to protect course content: enforce the device limit, watermark videos and investigate leaks;
• to send service messages and notifications (for example a reply to your question) over WhatsApp;
• to improve the platform through aggregated statistics.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

• Paymob, to process payments (they receive the payment details you enter on their page and the order amount).
• Our WhatsApp messaging provider, to deliver verification codes and notifications to your number.
• Hetzner, which hosts our servers and file storage in the European Union.
• Instructors (TAs) see enrolment counts for their courses and the questions you send them.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

Account and learning data are kept while your account is open. Orders and payment records are kept for the period required by Egyptian tax and accounting law. Security and playback logs are kept for up to 12 months, longer when needed to investigate a specific content leak. When you close your account we delete or anonymise the rest within 90 days.

Data travels over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, secrets and video keys are encrypted, and access by our staff is limited by role and logged.

You can view and update your profile at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, or object to a use of it, by writing to bassel@mokhtareon.com. We answer within 30 days. Deleting your account ends access to your courses.

We use only cookies needed to run the site: sign-in session, language, theme and device identification. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
